Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdares National Park
Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Airport in the morning and depart Nairobi to Aberdares National Park. The drive will be 3 and half hours to Aberdares Country club which is the base hotel for The Ark Hotel. Check in and have lunch. After lunch and in the afternoon you will be transfer to The Ark lodge, which has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges that overlook a watering holes where wild animals frequent. You will have a superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you rater than you going to look for them!.
Later dinner and overnight at The Ark hotel.

Day 2: Aberdares National Park – Samburu Game Reserve
Leave Aberdares and depart for Samburu Game Reserve after breakfast via Isiolo. On arrival have game en route to the lodge for lunch as well as check in. After lunch, relax until 16:00hrs, time for the evening game drive. Spot the rare Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich and the gravy Zebra. Samburu is the home to different bird species. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu camp or Sarova Shaba Lodge

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve
Spend a whole day in Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives; spot the rare Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich and the gravy Zebra. Samburu is the home to different bird species. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu camp or Sarova Shaba Lodge

Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve – Olpajeta Ranch, Sweet Water sanctuary
Early morning breakfast. With a game drive en-route, leave Samburu Game Reserve for Olpajeta Ranch that houses Sweet water game sanctuary. The drive will be around 3 and half hours to the main gate. Later check in at the Camp for lunch and relax, Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary in Kenya for rehabilitation of the widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment which is as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. Afternoon game drives across the Park. Later return for Dinner and overnight at Sweet waters Serena Tented Camp

Day 5: Sweet Water – Lake Nakuru
Early morning breakfast, then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park Via Isiolo. Stop for lunch at Thomson’s Waterfall, arriving around 14.00 hours in Lake Nakuru National Park.  Afternoon game drive takes you to the lake to view Flamingoes and pelicans. Also, spot White/Black Rhinos, Rothschild Giraffe and Waterbucks. The Lake Forest attracts a wide variety of birds. Dinner and overnight at Sarova lion hill Lodge or Flamingo Hill Tented Camp

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park – Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Early morning breakfast. After breakfast leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara. The drive will be 5 hours to the main gate. You will pass through Narok the famous Masai town. You will arrive in time for lunch. Check in at your Camp. Relax until 16:00 Hours time for evening game drive with a chance to see the Big Five; Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and the Leopard; Spot herds of Wildebeests, Zebras, Gazelles, Impalas and Masai Giraffes and other kinds of African wildlife in this fascinating wildlife paradise. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Mara game Camp, or Ashnil Mara camp.

Day 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Spend a whole day viewing wildlife in Masai Mara Game reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Have a chance to see the “BIG FIVE”: Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard. Wildebeests, Zebras, Cheetahs and Gazelles, other kinds of African wildlife can also be easily spotted. Witness the famous wildebeests (Gnu) and zebra migration from Serengeti (Tanzania) to Maasai Mara (Kenya) between July and September; this movement is one of world wonders. Masai Mara being the stomping ground of the Great Migration, a massive accumulation of 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras and 350,000 gazelles stretching their legs over 1,200 miles in an annual race to find enough water and green grass for their survival. More afternoon game drives at this jewel park of Kenya. Dinner and Overnight at Sarova Mara game Camp, or Ashnil Mara camp.

Day 8: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Early Morning breakfast at your camp, check out of the camp and drive to Nairobi. arriving in time for lunch. Lunch at carnivore afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport around 3pm.

Optional to our clients with evening Flights:- if you have evening flight you can do more game drive with packed lunch till around 12:00hrs lunch time, and afterwards drive to Nairobi. You arrive in Nairobi at around 5 to 6 pm drop off at Airport or back to your hotel.

• Pre and post- tour accommodation which can be arranged on request
• The cost of obtaining visa for Kenya.
• Personal Taxes
• Drinks like sodas, water, beer and wines at the hotels and lodges.
• Gratuity for the driver guide, porters and waiter
• Laundry costs, telephone calls and other items of a personal nature
• International flights
• Optional excursions like a visit to Masai Village or Hot Air Balloon ride

The cost may change if influenced by increment of park entrance fees, Government taxes

Payment Policy
– booking fee: 30% within 7 days after confirmation of the booking
– balance and full payments to be paid 25 days prior to safari starting date.
– Booking confirmed within 25 days to the tour starting date should be paid in full.

Ashford Tours is not liable for the progress of any booking incase of non-compliance of the above payment conditions. We recommend that you secure your booking with a deposit of 30% of the tour fees within 7 days of confirmation. The balance of payment is due 25 days prior to the tour starting date. Upon receipt of full payment, Ashford Tours will issue all relevant travel documents.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel a confirmed booking, a cancellation fee will apply. A cancellation is only possible if communicated in written form. If you cancel a trip:
• At any time but over 45 days after your booking has been confirmed Ashford Tours and Travel retains 5% non-refundable deposit as administration costs on all services booked with us. We advise you to sign cancellation insurance at the time of booking which will cover cancellation fees.

• Any monies paid will be refunded less the cost of cancellation fees levied by hotels or food expenses and administrative costs as indicated here below;

• If you leave a tour for any reason after it has commenced we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services.
