Itinerary Summary
Experience a unique safari, enjoy bird watching and rhino spotting at Lake Nakuru National Park and Adventure in the Great Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the White Rhino and Buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Your safari driver guide will pick you up from Airport or your hotel early in the morning. You drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park’s are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.

Day 2 – Discover Masai Mara Game Reserve
The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

Day 3 – Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 4 – Lake Nakuru – Nairobi

Depart after breakfast with a game drive en-route to Nairobi arriving at lunchtime. Connect with one of our other exciting safari packages. Your choice of – the exotic Samburu Game Reserve or Amboseli National Park (known as the Elephant country), perhaps a climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro, or relax on the clean white sandy beaches of Mombasa Island along the warm Indian Ocean, are some of the wonderful options available. You can also choose to visit a children’s orphanage, explore the shops or simply relax before your departure tonight.

Payment Policy
– booking fee: 30% within 7 days after confirmation of the booking
– balance and full payments to be paid 25 days prior to safari starting date.
– Booking confirmed within 25 days to the tour starting date should be paid in full.

Ashford Tours is not liable for the progress of any booking incase of non-compliance of the above payment conditions. We recommend that you secure your booking with a deposit of 30% of the tour fees within 7 days of confirmation. The balance of payment is due 25 days prior to the tour starting date. Upon receipt of full payment, Ashford Tours will issue all relevant travel documents.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel a confirmed booking, a cancellation fee will apply. A cancellation is only possible if communicated in written form. If you cancel a trip:
• At any time but over 45 days after your booking has been confirmed Ashford Tours and Travel retains 5% non-refundable deposit as administration costs on all services booked with us. We advise you to sign cancellation insurance at the time of booking which will cover cancellation fees.
